Abstract
Pandemija bolesti COVID-19 uzrokovala je poremećaje u lancima opskrbe u većini industrija diljem svijeta. Cilj ovog rada je istražiti kako je COVID-19 utjecao na pristupe organizacija u upravljanju rizicima lanca opskrbe u zdravstvenoj i automobilskoj industriji te na primjeru pokazati strategije i alate koje su pokazne organizacije koristili kako bi uspješno savladali izazove u trenucima izrazito prevrtljive potražnje. Kroz rad ćemo opisati primijenjene prakse šest multinacionalnih kompanija za opskrbu medicinskom opremom i autodijelovima koje su kompanije koristile kako bi prevladale poremećaje lanca opskrbe uzrokovane pandemijom koronavirusa. Obje istražene industrije imaju kompleksan lanac opskrbe i karakterizira ih preciznost u isporukama i mali inventari što ih čini posebno osjetljivim na poremećaje. Obje imaju i značajnu ulogu u globalnoj ekonomiji jer utječu na mnoge ljude pa ih to čini zanimljivim poligonom za istraživanje kako je COVID- 19 utjecao na njih i kako su tvrtke upravljale rizicima i poremećajima tijekom tog vremena. Doprinos rada bit će niz korisnih uputa organizacijama koje žele unaprijediti svoje metode upravljanja organizacijama u kriznim vremenima poput pandemije koronavirusa te učiniti svoje načine i metode upravljanja boljim i agilnijim.
Abstract (english)
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruptions in supply chains across most industries worldwide. The aim of this paper is to investigate how COVID-19 has influenced the approaches of organizations in supply chain risk management in the healthcare and automotive industries and to illustrate, through examples, the strategies and tools that organizations have employed to successfully overcome challenges during times of highly volatile demand. We will describe the applied practices of six multinational companies in the supply of medical equipment and auto parts to overcome supply chain disruptions arising from the coronavirus pandemic. Both industries have complex supply chains characterized by precision in deliveries and small inventories, making them particularly susceptible to disruptions. Both industries play a significant role in the global economy and impact many people, making it interesting to explore how COVID-19 has affected them and how companies have managed risks and disruptions during this time. Contribution of the paper will offer valuable insights to organizations looking to enhance their methods for more effective and agile management during crisis periods, such as the COVID- 19 pandemic.
